The Criminal Investigations Division is made up of 1 Lieutenant and 6 Detectives, and is tasked with the responsibility of conducting follow up investigations on all crimes committed within the City of Westwego

They investigate such crimes ranging from theft, burglary and criminal damage, to more serious crimes such as rape and homicide.  In addition to their assigned duties, the investigators also execute search and arrest warrants and work in conjunction with various local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

The Investigations Division combines many years of service and dedication and each investigator has obtained extensive professional law enforcement training in various specialties.
